- Egypt's president Mohamed Morsy plans to meet with members of Egypt's court today after decreeing that the judiciary cannot overturn any law he issues until a new constitution is passed. This has angered many judges in the country as it is being viewed as a power grab (CNN): 

- As President Obama's second term inauguration nears, the rush to fill so-to-be vacant cabinet positions is on (ABC News):

- A leading Islamic cleric in Gaza, Suleiman al-Daya, has stated that the newly minted cease fire between Hamas and Israel should not be broken, and doing so would be a "sin" (CBS News):

- A would be robber died after being confronted by a security guard and employees at a Walmart in Georgia (NBC News):
