Open Chat... All Day, Every Day! Express Your Views, Debate, and Challenge the Views of Others!

In order to keep up with the nature of free, spirited debate, I wanted to place the chat feature at the top of the homepage. This ensures people can come here and share their views on anything they wish and not have it be related to any specific discussion. Here, people can share ideas, links, and views "unmoderated" and an their own pace. To me, this makes The Elephant in the Room blog truly a place for debate.

READER'S POLLS - What Do YOU Want to Know About?

If you follow our blog, you probably noticed we like to conduct polls. Some have been very popular and have received over 250 votes; some haven't been so lucky.

In keeping with our goal of making sure this is truly an open-forum people's blog, we want readers to conduct their own polls. How would it work?

It's simple:

Step 1: Think of what you would like to poll. Some examples are, "If you could give Obama a grade for his first 3 years, what would it be?" or "What will the unemployment rate be on election day?" It can be anything.

Step 2: Think of the possible choices. For example, "A, B, C, D, F" or "6.0% - 7.0%, 7.0% - 8.0%, 8.0% - 9.0%, 9.0% - 10.0%"

Step 3: Email it to us at loudmouthelephant@gmail.com. Be sure to tell us if you want your screen name displayed in the poll or if you would like to remain anonymous.

Step 4: Tell people to vote; Watch your poll's results.

Our polls will run for one week voting spans. We will pick from the submissions at random. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to let us know.
