Open Chat... All Day, Every Day! Express Your Views, Debate, and Challenge the Views of Others!

In order to keep up with the nature of free, spirited debate, I wanted to place the chat feature at the top of the homepage. This ensures people can come here and share their views on anything they wish and not have it be related to any specific discussion. Here, people can share ideas, links, and views "unmoderated" and an their own pace. To me, this makes The Elephant in the Room blog truly a place for debate.

  2. Do you know anything about venture capital? Do you know what a hedge fund is? Do you know what Barclays does? You bitch about it (and many other things) you are clueless about under the guise of "corporations are big bad pigs."

    Learn something.

    2. Anna - not that I disagree with your assessment, but do you know about these subjects? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or facetious, I'm just wondering if you're able to help people understand them better?

    3. Oops, anonymous, I guess you were typing your comment at the same time I was. The question is the same for you. I just think that sharing ideas is the way to go. I'm always interested to see what the generic understanding of a hotly-debated topic is. It certainly helps political discourse if we all exchange what we do know rather than shooting down people for what they don't. Of course, if people really don't know what they're talking about, their cases will come out as hollow when questioned. But yes, civil debate of ideas and facts, in my opinion, is the best thing for all.
