Glad they found the little girls. Very glad that Adam Mayes saved the taxpayers of TN and MS a lot of money.
ReplyDeleteI heard last night (while channel surfing and drinking a cold beer) that the Clooney fundraiser netted an extra $3 Million for 0bama since his "courageous evolution" (which some may call a flip-flop) on gay marriage. It still doesn't seem to be hurting him.
Hi Slim
DeleteI believe I heard the extra $3 mil. came from the sale of 3.00 raffle tickets. The two winners - both from back East, blue states - were treated to attend the 'gala' and enjoy dinner with Clooney and Obama.
This would further convince me that this entire 'evolution proclamation' brouhaha was planned well in advance.
This blog does a great job at pulling out liberal media bull. CNN has a headline that says "Romney did some 'dumb things' in school"
ReplyDeleteAh yes, the power of a headline. Keep repeating something negative and look at the mental trend it creates. The headline leads to this: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/05/10/romneys-former-classmate-you-have-to-take-it-into-account/?hpt=hp_t2
This makes me sick. This is liberal media crap. This is what the left tries to do?
Amazingly the media is just fine with 0bama shoving a girl while he was in school.
Deletehttp://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2012/05/10/Does-WaPo-Know-Obama-Shoved-a-Little-Girl
Seems like obama at least remembered he did it and new it was stupid.
DeleteRomney seems to somehow forgot pinning someone down and cutting their hair off and it was nice of him to laugh about it aswell! Thats a great example of leadership for my children......
It has absolutely nothing do with an "example of leadership." Romney was a CHILD. Get it through your skull. This is not a testament to how he would do as a MAN. If you're honestly thinking that this has anything to do with how he would lead, 50 years later, you're just as retarded as everyone else who is making this an issue.
Deleteany grown ass man can relies when they do stupid shit as a kid, to laugh and say ohh i dont remember but hey im sorry if i did it, i probably did do, sorry guys....
Deleteis a lame ass response from a person who is full of themselves.
He obviously doesn't give a crap about the people he effected and does not even care to think about the impact of his childish actions.
And wow to say he does not remember that..... who forgets pinning someone down and cutting their hair off.....
I dont care that he did something as a child that was dumb , we all did, but to laugh about it and act like he did not remember shows how self centered and arrogant he is.
HE WAS A KID YOU IDIOT. A KID A KID A KID.
DeleteAre you going to judge him for things he did when he was 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14... and so on? 18 is adulthood in the US.
He is what, 65 years old. Why would you expect him to remember an isolated thing from 50 years ago?
This manufactured, fake "issue" you and many people have with Romney just shows how retarded you are. How do you know he isn't sincere? What if he doesn't remember it? Should he apologize for something that might not have existed?
Worry about REAL issues. This one is just stupid. Next issue please.
Top o the mornin Slim... I'm with you on the Mayes thing... what happened was a shame but it couldn't have ended better. I do feel for those girls who will always be left with a huge void in their lives.
ReplyDeleteAs for Obama's 'evolution' (I can't stand that characterization by the way), I don't think it hurts him and I actually think it wil help him. The gay rights issue is about freedom and equality. To be against gay marriage is really to be, at least in part, against freedom and, to a huge extent, against equality.
Top of the morning to you too Whatsamattausa.
DeleteThe good the thing for 0bama is he has a different view on gay marriage in each election cycle. For instance:
-1996: "I favor legalizing same-sex marriages, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages"
-1998: "Undecided," while running for re-election to state Senate
-2004: "I am a fierce supporter of domestic-partnership and civil-union laws. I am not a supporter of gay marriage as it has been thrown about, primarily just as a strategic issue. I think that marriage, in the minds of a lot of voters, has a religious connotation. I know that's true in the African-American community, for example.
-2006: "I was reminded that it is my obligation…as a Christian, to remain open to the possibility that my unwillingness to support gay marriage is misguided.
-2007: "The government has to treat all citizens equally. I am a strong supporter not of a weak version of civil unions, but of a strong version.”
-2008: "I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now, for me as a Christian - for me - for me as a Christian, it is also a sacred union. God's in the mix.
-2008: "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage”
-2009: "I've called on Congress to repeal the so-called Defense of Marriage Act to help end discrimination to help end discrimination against same-sex couples in this country.”
-2010: "I have been to this point unwilling to sign on to same-sex marriage primarily because of my understandings of the traditional definitions of marriage. But I also think you're right that attitudes evolve, including mine."
-2011: "Every single American - gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, transgender - every single American deserves to be treated equally in the eyes of the law.”
-2012: "it is important for me personally to go ahead and affirm that same-sex couples should be able to get married."
I have seen a fish out of water flip and flop, er, I mean "evolve" less than 0bama on this issue. It appears that his position is one of convenience. At least for now, he is on the side of freedom and equality.
Have a great weekend Whatsamattausa.
seems like romney and obama have alot in common thy both change their mind every 6 months...... these are our choices to choose from....
DeleteDeceive, inveigle, obfuscate.
ReplyDeleteWould everyone please take a good look at what we - and ALL the media are focused on?
Gay 'marriage' and high school pranks from 50 years ago. Really?
In the meantime, our economy remains in the dumpster, with no end in sight.
Obama has a STACK of Treaties on his desk, one's all set for him to sign away OUR sovereignty - to the U.N. - sometime in JUNE 2012!
The REST he plans to SAVE until AFTER the election.
The scariest part of that: Who KNOWS to what depths our Narcissist-in-Chief would stoop when/if he LOSES and becomes a LAME DUCK!
He's making nice-nice with the new SOCIALIST Pres of France; invited him to the WH to discuss 'ecomonic strategies'... (does anyone know what comes after BROKE?)
And Congress has a new and exciting re-write tightening the already Unconstitutional NDAA.
I think we need to focus - and watch the other hand.
