Open Chat... All Day, Every Day! Express Your Views, Debate, and Challenge the Views of Others!

In order to keep up with the nature of free, spirited debate, I wanted to place the chat feature at the top of the homepage. This ensures people can come here and share their views on anything they wish and not have it be related to any specific discussion. Here, people can share ideas, links, and views "unmoderated" and an their own pace. To me, this makes The Elephant in the Room blog truly a place for debate.

  1. Walker won 53% to 46% (I guessed 53% to 47% yesterday). The liberals on CNN are having a conniption fit going on and on about money buying this election.

I don't see it. The vote is about the same as in 2010. In 2010 Walker won with 52% of the vote. What I do see though, is, it is a lot easier to blame it on money than for liberals to accept they flat out lost--- TWICE.

I heard one liberal whining and crying (literally) that "democracy died here tonight". More people voted last night than they did in 2010; how is that the death of democracy?

One thing I noticed last night was CNN had a story up talking about how close the race was and that exit polls were evenly split at 50-50. MSNBC had a story up about how 0bama was ahead in exit polling over Romney in Wisconsin. I just wonder how reliable that exit polling data is. Getting beat 53 to 46 is not any where as near as close as 50 to 50 as their exit polling claimed. Why in the world would we believe their lame poll on a Romney/0bama match up when their exit polling for the governor race was so far off base?

In 2010 Ron Johnson defeated incumbent Democrat Senator Russ Feingold 52% to 47% and Walker won 52% to 46%. Now in 2012, Walker wins again 53% to 46%. I am not a professional political pundit but it appears to me that the Democrats may be losing a strong hold.

What these liberal networks do to their viewers is cruel by giving them some sort false hope. For example, they kept pushing this close election BS and that the polls were showing a really close race. Then they start telling us about 50 - 50 in the exit polls. Once the results started coming in, it was never close. With 1% of the vote in Walker led 52 - 48. With 23% of the votes in CNN projected Walker the winner. Walker was leading 60 - 40 at that point. It was NEVER close.

I would be willing to wager that we could have another recall election next month, next quarter or next year and allow NO spending and I bet Walker would win again with 52% or 53% of the vote. It's not the money. The people of Wisconsin are over the liberal BS.

Money did not vote last night, 2.5 million Wisconsinites did.

Have a Koch and a smile.

  3. Walker Won! Hip, hip, hurray! And my congrats @Slim32 - you called the percentage dead on.

Somewhat disturbing to me...I heard and saw this posted all night from those on the left (some actually weeping): 'Democracy died tonight.'

It's disturbing because they still don't seem to get that America is NOT a democracy... that our Founders DESPISED that form of government...

Thomas Jefferson: A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where 51% of the people may take away the rights of the other 49%.

Benjamin Franklin (maybe): Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

John Marshall: Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.

John Adams: Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.

With CA's Prop 8 - The majority of the PEOPLE of CA voted AGAINST legalizing gay marriage - these very same lefties are now using the court system in an attempt to override the will of the people in their quest to FORCE legalized gay marriage in that state.

And if/when they succeed in ramming through a law that the PEOPLE of CA soundly rejected... they'll parade and cheer and all will be right (with THEIR world)

I think Biden was right - I just don't 'get' the left.
