- The F.B.I. will open an investigation into the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Martin was shot an killed by a neighborhood watch leader who claimed that when he approached Martin he was attacked and shot Martin in self defense (CNN):

- Mitt Romney looks to build on his win in the Puerto Rico primary with a win in the Illinois primary. Polls show he has an edge over Rick Santorum (Fox News):

- A wave of bombings and shootings have left 46 people dead in Iraq over night (CBS News):

- The attorney for Sgt. Robert Bales claims Mr. Bales has no recollection attacking and killing 16 Afghan citizens (CBS News):
