Open Chat... All Day, Every Day! Express Your Views, Debate, and Challenge the Views of Others!

In order to keep up with the nature of free, spirited debate, I wanted to place the chat feature at the top of the homepage. This ensures people can come here and share their views on anything they wish and not have it be related to any specific discussion. Here, people can share ideas, links, and views "unmoderated" and an their own pace. To me, this makes The Elephant in the Room blog truly a place for debate.

Bloomberg said he's encouraging the roughly 800 mayors who are members of his Mayors Against Illegal Guns organization to start lobbying lawmakers and "explain to them why constituents really want this done."

This isn't about being against illegal guns. AR-15s are illegal. It's about lobbying congress to make some things now illegal. Bloomberg's groups should be "mayors who want to make many guns illegal" or "mayors who say F YOU to the second amendment."

    1. @Anon I keep seeing all these polls where over 50% of respondents favor banning this or that...

I have questions: Who are these people? Are they telephone polls? Who answers their phone when they do NOT recognize the # on the i.d.?

I've never been polled and I don't know anyone who has been either... I think they MUST be polling ONLY Obamaphones...

Hubby called NRA last night. He was on hold for OVER AN HOUR. He gave his info, and then he gave them mine. In the span of the 20 or so minutes between HIS info and MINE, the membership #'s jumped 39,664.

That's nearly 40 thousand NEW members - in less than 30 minutes!

So... who, exactly are the people responding in the negative to these polls??
