The payroll (SS tax) cut was a temporary ploy, specifically designed to buy votes... personally, it was a fiasco for me as I ended up having to re-do my tax form w/my employer, so we (who file jointly) wouldn't end up OWING at the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteThey took that revenue from a program that's ALREADY in trouble - to buy votes. It needs to expire.
$1000 a year breaks down to $19 a week - that's what? four gallons of gas... big whoop.
I see the VERY SAME people who cry about this - playing Angry Bird on their iPhones while standing in line to buy the Brand New and Imporved iPhone 5!
... priorities people.
