- NATO has strongly condemned Syria for downing a Turkish fighter jet last week. The international organization said it will not take any action (CNN):

- Representative Darrell Issa claims the Obama administration use of executive privilege last week was an overstep of authority because some of the documents it aimed to conceal were documents specific to the Fast and Furious program and not specifically prepared for the President (Fox News):

- The US Preventative Services Task Force, a government panel within the the Department of Health and Human Services recommends that all adults be checked for obesity (MSNBC):
