Open Chat... All Day, Every Day! Express Your Views, Debate, and Challenge the Views of Others!

In order to keep up with the nature of free, spirited debate, I wanted to place the chat feature at the top of the homepage. This ensures people can come here and share their views on anything they wish and not have it be related to any specific discussion. Here, people can share ideas, links, and views "unmoderated" and an their own pace. To me, this makes The Elephant in the Room blog truly a place for debate.

  1. Just got back from vacation and am catching up. Hope everyone had happy, healthy, and safe holidays.

I have to chime in on my governor and this Sandusky thing. First, it should be understood that Corbett was the state attorney general when the initial report of Sandusky came out and Corbett was in charge of vetting the accusation. He put a single investigator on the situation. It should be noted that Corbett is a Penn State alum and also sits (or sat) on the Board of Trustees for Penn State. He failed in his role as the SAG. Being on the board, he accepted the sanctions placed on the school by the NCAA. He now says that he was unaware of the rules... As a governor, don't you think he would have checked that out ahead of accepting the sanctions? So, he failed at that role as well. Now, he wants to sue the NCAA. I believe it is solely sour grapes that the Nits couldn't play a bowl game after an incredible season. So, this man agreed to have the taxpayers foot the bill for his agreement to the sanctions and now wants to stick the taxpayers with another legal bill to make him more politically popular. This man is a disgrace. He failed at every opportunity (allowing more children to be raped) and now he wants to file a lawsuit to cover his own ass and make him more popular with all the other blind Penn State fans in this state. Pure politics and purely disgusting!!!
