Open Chat... All Day, Every Day! Express Your Views, Debate, and Challenge the Views of Others!

In order to keep up with the nature of free, spirited debate, I wanted to place the chat feature at the top of the homepage. This ensures people can come here and share their views on anything they wish and not have it be related to any specific discussion. Here, people can share ideas, links, and views "unmoderated" and an their own pace. To me, this makes The Elephant in the Room blog truly a place for debate.

Friday Lie-Day!!!

Happy Friday everyone!

So why does the title of this post say "Friday Lie-Day?" Well, surprisingly, Anderson Cooper is at it again... he is calling out DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz for her blatantly dishonest claim about Mitt Romney's stance on abortion and her intentional misquoting of the LA Times. I'm not big on "gotcha" politics, and I prefer deep economic analysis, but hey, it's Friday, viewership is typically lower, and sometimes we can have a little fun. I mean, heck... when the media, late night talk show hosts, and those of the like continually ridicule the GOP (sometimes legitimately, mostly not, and mostly creating fake "gaffes" and twists), I think we on the right can play by the same rules. This is not my video; it's from The Right Scoop, and it shows Anderson Cooper standing up for truth. Check it out:

If you want another, this one was pretty good, too:

I digress...

Aside from this video, the truth about the democrats' game plan seems to be getting louder and louder: the democrats will lie, distort, and twist whatever they can (and don't forget a healthy dose of fear mongering, too) in order to get Obama re-elected. Below are a few more examples of this:

Obama's lie about taxes:

Team Obama's lie about the fake GOP "war on women":

Team Obama's lie about Mitt Romney "outsourcing" jobs:

Four large lies about Mitt Romney told by the Obama campaign:

I'm glad Anderson Cooper is doing what he is doing. It would be a crying shame if the American people voted for a president based on lies, fear, misinformation, and false claims. Of course, the debate is open, and if you have any more videos of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, please share the links below. Thank you!

  1. HAHAHA if y ou make a good point. If people vote for the dems and they are just lying, we are all idiots. God help us.

  2. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz...a fear which often drives us not to search for understanding, but to deceive, inveigle, and obfuscate.

Whether you're an advocate for pro-choice or pro-life... I don't understand how anyone can view these 'procedures' as anything but murder of the helpless.

I understand some here who do NOT support Israel... but they ARE our allies, and they're looking at a world of hurt... and who do you think would be next?
