Open Chat... All Day, Every Day! Express Your Views, Debate, and Challenge the Views of Others!

In order to keep up with the nature of free, spirited debate, I wanted to place the chat feature at the top of the homepage. This ensures people can come here and share their views on anything they wish and not have it be related to any specific discussion. Here, people can share ideas, links, and views "unmoderated" and an their own pace. To me, this makes The Elephant in the Room blog truly a place for debate.

    1. Well Loyal, you've done it. You've successfully lost ALL credibility.

You post this news report hack piece, it's pretty disgusting. Didn't you notice it cut off right after Walker said, "we thought about that." Boom, it cuts off. Doesn't that strike you as shady?

Well, it is. And you're an absolute sucker for posting it. You fell for it. Maybe you should read the entire transcript before you post a hack piece that cuts off at a very specific time. I'll help you, it's right here: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/116751499.html#!page=12&pageSize=10&sort=newestfirst

"Murphy: Right, right. We’ll back you any way we can. But what we were thinking about the crowd was, uh, was planting some troublemakers.

Walker: You know, well, the only problem with that — because we thought about that. The problem with — my only gut reaction to that would be, right now the lawmakers I’ve talked to have just completely had it with them. The public is not really fond of this. The teacher’s union did some polling and focus groups I think and found out that the public turned on them the minute they closed school down on them for a couple of days. The guys we’ve got left are largely from out of state and I keep dismissing it in all my press comments, saying ehh, they’re mostly from out of state. My only fear would be if there’s a ruckus caused is that would scare the public into thinking maybe the governor has to settle to avoid all these problems. You know, whereas I’ve said, hey, we can handle this, people can protest, this is Madison, you know, full of the ’60s liberals. Let ’em protest. It’s not going to affect us. And as long as we go back to our homes and the majority of people are telling us we’re doing the right thing, let ’em protest all they want. So that’s my gut reaction. I think it’s actually good if they’re constant, they’re noisy, but they’re quiet, nothing happens. Sooner or later the media stops finding them interesting."

So where in there did he say he was going to do it? Where? Please show me.

Fact: He did not. No threats, never said he was going to do it. Nothing. If you try to say he did, you are just an idiot. How many times to people say, "well, we can just win the football game if we break Tom Brady's legs in the parking lot?" Do they mean it? Did they go through with it?

      NO!

You, sir, are a royal moron for posting a hack piece that 100% does not back what you say it does when the truth really comes out. Go back to your mommy's basement, stop suckin the liberal teat, and learn something.

    2. This was not a baseball game dara, this was a politician being asked to "planting some troublemakers" and admitting he "thought about" then describing his thought process behind it.

Then he says "My only fear would be if there’s a ruckus caused is that would scare the public into thinking maybe the governor has to settle to avoid all these problem"

Implying he shot down the idea of planting some to start riots cause it might backfire

      then he says

"And as long as we go back to our homes and the majority of people are telling us we’re doing the right thing, let ’em protest all they want"

Implying he might consider inserting people "as long as we go back to our homes and the majority of people are telling us we’re doing the right thing"

He described the whole process of how they determined not planting someone was a better idea than planting someone. That means HE THOUGHT ABUOT IT AND WAS PLANNING TO DO IT BUT AFTER WEIGHING THE OPTIONS DECIDED NOT TO.

WHY IS THIS EVEN AN OPTION? DO WE LIVE IN RUSSIA?

What point are you arguing, that he did not mean it?

He said in he stood behind what he said, so he obviously meant it and he had an elaborate explanation on why he decided not to plant someone.....

you are something else..... defending someone who is clearly stating they weighed the option of planting someone to disrupt peaceful protests.

    3. You can't read. I'm Anna, not dara.

What kind of country we live in? When you want to indict someone for talking? He did nothing wrong. You failed to answer my question.

Fact: He did not. No threats, never said he was going to do it. Nothing. If you try to say he did, you are just an idiot. How many times to people say, "well, we can just win the football game if we break Tom Brady's legs in the parking lot?" Do they mean it? Did they go through with it?

You are a joke. You have all these opinions, you cite hack pieces and tabloids, you have no formal education in econ, poli sci or anything related, but you want to talk out your ass all day about things you are clueless about.

      Seriously dude. Grow up.

    4. anna I feel bad for you , you are so brainwashed and lost that you're party affiliation is put ahead all logical thinking and ability to comprehend your surroundings.

It is classic for the hard left and hard right. yall are so lost you would not go against your party if the brought the whole country to financial ruin wait that just.... ohh... nvr mind

But keep on with your lemming life and follow the leader I wish the best for you.

I have nothing to say I already proved your ignorant statement for what it is a joke and clearly pointed out the governor plotted to insert someone to start a riot but decided it would cause more problems for him so decided not to do it.

      thank you, come again
